IRVINE, Calif. — The Stanton Elks delivered a statement win on Friday night at Great Park, dismantling Cal Maritime 7–0 in one of the program's most dominant performances to date. With the victory, the Elks set a new program record for most goals scored in a single match while maintaining their position atop the Cal Pac standings as the regular season nears its end.
The matchup marked the second meeting between the two teams this season. In their first encounter during Stanton's NorCal road trip, the Elks came away with a solid 2–0 victory. This time, they turned up the intensity.
Stanton wasted no time getting on the board — with just two minutes on the clock, Lucas Valle opened the scoring. Minutes later, Francesco De Marco doubled the lead in the 7th minute. Before halftime, the floodgates opened as Lorenzo Jacon found the net, followed by two quick strikes from Joaquín Seguic, sending the Elks into the break up 5–0.
Even as Head Coach Gameiro rotated his lineup in the second half, Stanton's attack showed no signs of slowing. Jacon tallied his second goal of the night — his ninth of the season — securing his spot as the Cal Pac's top goal scorer. Lucas Dino sealed the emphatic win with a late goal, capping off a seven-goal showcase of precision and teamwork.
With only two matches remaining in the regular season, Stanton sits confidently at the top of the Cal Pac table, looking poised for a strong postseason run. The Elks will aim to carry this momentum into their final fixtures and make history once again as conference play concludes.
