Lady Elks Win Over Yotes
The AZ Sun vs. Everyone
PHOENIX, AZ - The Stanton University women's tennis team continued their dominant run through the Grand Canyon State, securing a hard-fought victory over the College of Idaho. While the desert sun proved to be a formidable opponent—forcing several matches to be called early—the Lady Elks did enough damage early on to claim the win.
Stanton was untouchable in doubles play, sweeping all three lines to take the opening point:
-
Paula / Cheyenne: 6-3 Win
-
Romy / Emilse: 6-0 Win
-
Kimmy / Polina: 6-0 Win
In singles action, the Lady Elks showcased their depth. Even with the "hot desert sun" leaving three matches unfinished, Stanton clinched the necessary points to stay perfect on the tour.
