IRVINE, Calif. – The Stanton University women's soccer team took the field at Great Park to face the Hope International Royals in early-season action. Despite a hard-fought effort, the Lady Elks came up short on the scoreboard, but the match served as another important step in the team's growth and development.
With a roster filled with new faces, the Elks are still in the process of building chemistry and learning how to play together under game pressure. While the result did not fall in Stanton's favor, the competitive spirit and determination shown throughout the match highlighted the potential within this young squad.
"This is a new team with players who are still getting to know one another," said Head Coach Gonzalez. "Every match is a learning opportunity, and I believe we are moving in the right direction. The effort and attitude were there, and the results will come as we continue to grow."
The Lady Elks remain optimistic as they continue their early-season schedule. Each game provides valuable experience, and the program is confident that the lessons learned now will pay dividends as the season progresses.
