Bio

My name is Francisco Gonçalves, and I’m proud to join Stanton University as the Assistant Coach for the Women’s Soccer Program.

I’m originally from Almeirim, Portugal, where my passion for the game began. I hold a U.S. Soccer D License and currently serve as a Head Coach at Capo FC, bringing experience in developing players in a competitive environment.

At Stanton, my goal is to win the regular conference and be part of the staff that takes this program to Nationals for the first time in program history.

I’m a very passionate, ambitious, and detail-oriented coach, focused on improving decision-making, confidence, and building a strong team culture based on discipline, accountability, and hard work. I also apply my background in psychology, as I believe the mental side of the game is essential for performance and player development.

One of my long-term goals is to become a professional soccer coach, and I’m committed to growing every day while helping my players reach their full potential.
