Lady Elks Win On The Road

PHOENIX, AZ — The Stanton University Lady Elks are currently in Phoenix, Arizona, for a two-game road trip to face Nelson University and conference newcomer Northern New Mexico. In Thursday's opener, the Lady Elks defeated Nelson University-Arizona 64-44, marking the team's second consecutive victory.

Victory in Phoenix

Stanton established control early, holding Nelson to only 4 points in the first quarter. The win builds on the momentum from the team's recent victory over Pacific Union on January 10.

The Lady Elks (2-14, 1-1 Cal Pac) now prepare for a Saturday clash against Northern New Mexico College, the newest addition to the California Pacific Conference. The Eagles are led by senior forward Jayden Jenkins, who leads the conference in scoring at 17.3 points per game.
