VENTURA, CA — Stanton University showed ice-cold nerves on the road Wednesday, leaning on a series of clutch tiebreak wins to edge out Ventura College.
Doubles Domination Stanton jumped out to an early advantage by taking two of three doubles matches. Lemiel Kei and Oleksandr Kolesnychenko led the charge with a dominant 8-2 win, while Yohann Molle and Achille Scattolin secured an 8-5 victory. Matthias Bigot and Egor Pishchelev nearly completed the sweep but fell just short in a gritty 8-9 battle.
Singles Resilience The singles round was defined by Stanton's "bend-but-don't-break" mentality, as four matches went to a deciding third set.
