Elks Dominate GSAC Rivals
Royals Hosts Stanton
FULLERTON, CA — The Stanton University Elks men's tennis team hit the road and secured another impressive victory over GSAC rivals, the Hope International Royals.
The day opened with competitive doubles play. While the Royals edged out narrow 7-5 wins on two courts against the pairings of Oleksandr Kolesnychenko / Lemiel Kei and Egor Pishchelev / Matthias Bigot, the standout Stanton duo of Yohann Molle and Achille Scattolin delivered a flawless 6-0 sweep to keep the momentum alive.
Transitioning to singles, Stanton's depth took over to seal the team victory:
-
Oleksandr Kolesnychenko and Matthias Bigot both delivered commanding, identical 6-3, 6-3 straight-set victories.
-
Yohann Molle continued his dominant day, dropping only a single game to win 6-0, 6-1.
-
Sebastian Koster stepped up off the bench to secure a swift and decisive 6-1, 6-1 finish.
Despite hard-fought battles from Kei, Pishchelev, and Scattolin that ultimately went the Royals' way, the Elks' overwhelming strength at the top and bottom of the lineup secured the win. Head Coach Alexandre Campolina's squad continues to prove they are a serious threat this season.
